Alarm rules
Alarm rules define conditions on a template's variables (e.g. "temperature > 8°C") that, when they occur on an asset, generate an event in that asset's alarm history.
Where to create them
- From Settings → Asset Templates → [template] → Rules.
- Or directly from an asset's detail page — with the warning that the rule applies to all assets of the template; see Creating dashboards and rules from the asset's detail page.
Goals for this page
- List the available condition operators (
>,<,=, ranges, minimum condition duration). - Explain the available severity levels (e.g. warning, critical) and their visual/notification impact.
- Explain notification channel configuration (email, other channels) for each rule.
- Clarify who can create/edit/delete rules (Admin only; Support read-only).
